Recently, you have all been learning about simple machines. How do they make your life easier every day? Without simple machines, we would have to work much harder.
Before we begin, we first have to learn some key terms:

- Load - a load is anything that takes up space and has weight. Simple machines are used to move a load.
- Simple Machine - simple machines serve 2 key purposes: 1) To move a load by overcoming some force and 2) To make work easier while moving that load by distributing the force needed
